We see so many people hauling and raving about products, which is nice because you know some good things on the market. However, I think some of the most important posts on the internet are these kind of reviews that tell you what NOT to buy as well. So here are the products I wish I never had bought or disappointed me in some way.
1. Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral Matte/Shimmer Palette
I did a full review on this, so I won't go too much into detail, but this was too expensive for what it is, so I wish I just didn't buy it.
I love the Wet n Wild formulas, and I don't regret these purchases because they were expensive or anything, but just because I hardly ever use the colors. In fact, for the Petal Pusher palette, when I depotted it, I threw away the cool tone half of the shadows because I hated the colors. I still like a lot of the shades in the Blue Had Me at Hello Palette, though, so I keep it around.
3. Boots Extracts Mango Scrub
I got this is a set with two other products (the gel and the body butter) that I really love, but this scrub was a dud. It's too thick, waxy, and doesn't work. I wish I had just bought the other two products separately.
I like the blush's packaging and everything, but I guess if I had to do it over again, I would've skipped this purchase (the color isn't the best and doesn't apply the best. It applies kind of patchy) and have just stuck with the Trish McEvoy blushes.
4. Kiko Bronzer
The problem with this bronzer is that it's just too pigmented. It's really hard to apply without making yourself look like Snooki after. The shade is a bit dark and orangey for me now. I'll try it more in the summer if I get a tan.
4.5 Sleek Face Form Palette
I 2/3 regret buying this product. I LOVE the bronzer that comes with it, but I don't care about the highlighter in the palette, and I hate the blush it comes with. The highlighter is a bit shimmery. It's not horrible, but not the best. The blush, however, is the worst I have ever used. It takes a while to even build up a good color, but then once you have the color you want, you just have a ton of gold shimmer on your face that is impossible to blend away, and it makes pores look monstrous.

5. La Roche-Posay Toleriane Powder
This powder was pretty expensive, and it's cakey and heavy. It doesn't absorb oil at all. Full review here.
6. Phyto 9
I actually got a two pack of this at a French pharmacy. Regretted. It's not like this is a bad product in the sense that it destroys the hair, but it just doesn't really do anything either. Kind of a waste.
7. Veet Wax Strips
I got these because I don't like shaving and I don't have my epilator with me. These don't work at all though. They barely grab any hair at all. What's the point?
8. Mavala Nail Polishes + base/top coat
These are probably the worst nail polishes I have ever used. They chip almost instantly. Full review here.
9. Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask set
I got this set because of all the hype surrounding REN skincare, especially the mask. However, although the mask works pretty well, it doesn't work as well as my favorite Tata Harper mask that's around the same price range, and the REN mask just smells awful. I cringe every time I put it on my face. The serum isn't bad, but I can't use it in the day because it makes me a bit greasy. Again, I hate the smell.
9.5 Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Sunscreen
I guess I don't completely regret buying this sunscreen because I think I'll get a lot of use out of it in the summer at the beach, but for everyday use, this really disappointed me. I was hoping it would be non greasy and maybe even mattifying (because it was like that when I used it the first time), but now that I've been using this more, it's just greasy, leaves a lot of white cast, and almost leaves white rubbery pieces around my face. I need something lighter for everyday

10. Real Techniques brushes
I got these brush sets really cheap on drugstore.com, and it's not that I don't like them, it's just that I expected them to be a lot better for all the hype they get. Out of the two starter sets I got, there are only a few brushes that aren't useless. They're nice brushes, but the rest of the brushes are just kind of a waste of space.
10.5 Marvis Mouthwash
Again, I don't completely hate this, and it works well. I just had really high hopes for this because I love the toothpaste so much. It said alcohol-free, so I thought it wouldn't sting, but I looked at the ingredients, and yes, there's alcohol in it, and it does sting. I love the toothpaste, but I can't believe I spent what I spent on a fancy Listerine. It also gets used up pretty quickly. Not worth the price.
11. MUA Colour Blast Eyeshadow Sticks
I didn't actually buy these because they came free with my MUA palette purchases at Superdrug, but I regret even taking these out of the store. These are horrible. They're dry and tug at the eye area, they fade super quickly and smudge all over the place. They don't work under eyeshadows. They're just a fail.
