What's on my face: Easy, olive green fall look

I have this old Dior palette from way back, and I wear the more neutral shades on a daily basis, but there's an olive green that's absolutely gorgeous that I seem to never wear. I was feeling in the mood for some color today, though so I thought I'd pull it out. It's actually really nice, and I find that the olive green almost acts like a neutral, and for a color it's definitely easy to pull off, especially for fall.

For base, I used the Rimmel 9-in-1 BB cream in Light (for the first time, actually). I'll have to use it some more to tell you what I think of it. I used my favorite theBalm timeBalm concealer in Light/Medium over any blemishes or marks, and I used it under my eyes as well. I then used the Deborah Milano Cipria Powder in 4, which is probably not my color right now, but I compensate by bronzing with the Deborah Maxi Terra Bronzer in 2 on the neck to make everything match. I contour with that as well in the usual 3E spots.

For blush, I have on Trish McEvoy Natural, but I think Easy Going from Trish would look really nice as well to keep the face more neutral with this kind of eye. I'm just so in the habit of reaching for Natural, that I forgot Easy Going would probably look even better.

I filled in my brows using a matte brown from the same Dior palette. I think powder looks really natural in the brows, so I really like it.

Then, I used the Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo in Bold Gold all over the lid as a base. I then used that olive green color and patted it on the lid over the gold. I smudged the same olive green along the lower lash line, then took more of Bold Gold and patted some on the center of the lid on top of the olive green to give the look more dimension.

I blend out the edges of all of my looks with a skin tone shadow. I used the almost matte beige from my Dior palette, but you can use anything that matches your skin color, really. Next, I took some matte black shadow from the Wet n Wild Blue Had Me at Hello palette and smudged that into the upper lash line. I finished with a coat of the Bourjois Volume Clubbing Ultra Black mascara. It was the first time I used it, and it was a bit wet. However, I think it'll end up behaving a lot like the Lancome Hypnose Drama. It had a very similar feel when using it.

On the lips, I dabbed on very lightly the Fresh Sugar Berry Lip Balm. It's a good fall color, and I like how you can make it look less intense or build it up.

I know the Dior palette I use all the time is discontinued, but the shades are very dupable, luckily. The Revlon Colorstay quad in Adventurous actually has really similar shades. The lightest color is a bit more of a highlight than a blending color, but Brulée from Wet n Wild is good to blend out looks, too.

Let me know if you try something like this out!
