MORE empties, eye problems, and mini haul

I finished MANY things recently so I'll be to the point with the explanations, and where possible I'll just link to reviews to save your time.

First up are the L'Oréal EverCrème Shampoo and Conditioner for Dry to Very Dry Hair. These take a good long while to finish up because a little goes a very long way. For sulfate free shampoo, this stuff has a very good, thick lather. I was very impressed. The shampoo isn't stripping, the conditioner adds nice moisture, and I can wash every other day without getting greasy. These smelled really great as well, kind of gourmande. As far as shine goes, my hair didn't look extra shiny after these, but it did feel nourished. On that note, if you have thin hair that gets greasy, this might not be for you. However, this is probably my favorite shampoo and conditioner combo from the drugstore, and I would repurchase in order to save money (I would alternate washes Free Your Mane).

I also finished up another Caudalie Pêche de Vigne body wash (this is my third one or something). Again, smells great, not drying. However, doesn't last long. I won't be repurchasing before going back to the states because I have so much shower gel to use, but I have purchased it many times, and if I could find it cheaply, I would repurchase for a once in a while treat.

I also finished the La Roche Posay Toleriane Dermo-Nettoyant. It didn't last a long time. Read this review and know why I won't repurchase.

I also finished the Nuxe Micellar Water I got in a coffret of Nuxe products. It's okay for a micellar water. I liked it less than the Caudalie, more than the L'Oréal one. It's slightly drying though, and it smells like rose. Doesn't fully remove makeup. I just don't think micellar waters are very effective for makeup removal in general. Won't repurchase.

I finished a peach perfume oil that I got in Avignon. Can't and won't repurchase.

I finished the Peaches and Clean Cleanser by Soap and Glory. It was hard to get the rest out of the bottle. Full review here. Won't repurchase.

I finished the rest of the travel set from Soap and Glory that I got from London. All the products smell like Coco Mademoiselle.
The Righteous Butter was NICE. It's very moisturizing but not greasy, and it smells so good. I would repurchase it.
Hand Food is now up there with my favorite hand creams. I still prefer the Caudalie one, but this is nice if you can't get your hands on the Caudalie. It smells good and hydrates without greasiness. I wouldn't repurchase it over the Caudalie one because I like the natural smell of the Caudalie one better, and Hand Food is more watery, less hydrating, but if I couldn't buy the Caudalie for some reason, this would be my go to.
I also finished Clean On Me shower gel. I had the full size of this before and really liked it. It has a good lather and lasts a while. It's not too drying, but it's not as gentle as some other body washes, so sensitive skins be wary. I would maybe repurchase this, but it's nothing I would rush out to get, and I won't miss it or anything.

I also finished the Phytobaume Repairing Conditioner. Full review here. It ran out fast, and it was hard to see how much I had left in the bottle. It's also expensive. Won't repurchase, but not because it's a bad product.

I also finished the Marvis Mouthwash. Full review here. This was a lot better after I started diluting it, but even with dilution it stung a bit. This is just kind of an expensive luxury, nothing special. I won't repurchase.

I finished another Marvis Jasmin Mint toothpaste. This is my holy grail toothpaste. I'm using the Marvis Classic Mint right now, but after that tube, I'm repurchasing the jasmine flavor right away. It is the best thing you will ever put it your mouth (that's not food).

I also finished this little REN Radiance Perfection Serum. I think it did help brighten and moisturize, but I hated the smell, it made me a bit greasy throughout the day, and I found something even more effective that you'll be hearing about later... I reviewed more REN products here. I won't purchase the full size.

I also finished the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder. I really liked this. It was basically invisible on the skin while still evening out the complexion. It doesn't absorb oil as well as Soap and Glory's One Heck of a Blot, but if you have dry skin you shouldn't have a problem with that. The powder smelled amazing as well, like fruit. I wouldn't repurchase immediately because I have other things I need to use up first, and there are other things I want to try, but it's not bad at all. If it came to the US and were cheaper, I would consider repurchasing.

I also finished a deluxe sample of Garancia's Mille et Une Nuits. It's a very light night cream. While it is light in texture and not greasy, I do find it really moisturized the skin. I have oily skin though; for dry skins you might want something more emollient. It smells really nice (same as the Diabolique Tomate that I love). I won't purchase the full size because it's out of my price range now, but it is lovely.

I also finished the Sleek Brow Stylist. Full review here. Will NOT repurchase.

I also finished the little bottle of Mavala nail polish in Black Oyster. This got gloopy and very hard to apply at the end, and if you read this full review, you'll know I'll never be buying anything from Mavala ever again.

The YSL mascara I hated with a passion, full review here, was getting on my nerves so much that I couldn't use it any longer. It was drying out anyway. So bye, and I won't repurchase.

Now to the sad part of this empties.

I got bacterial conjunctivitis, aka a type of pink eye. :(

Let's just take a moment of silence here to remember this good makeup that had to go too soon.

I used the Soap and Glory Supercat Liner and the It's About Prime primer the day when my symptoms started showing (aka eyes oozing mucus - sorry for that lovely image), so even though they were fairly new and still had so much product left, I have to toss them so I don't risk reinfection.
The primer wasn't the best, but I would've liked to keep using it, and the liner, while really good, will be replaced my my usual shadow + Finish Line combo. Full review here of all my S&G makeup. I won't repurchase either of these items, but I'm still sad to see them go. I feel like 20 bucks just got thrown down the drain. Curse these damn eyes of mine!!!!

Now guys. The saddest part.
You know how I just threw away the YSL mascara? Well, the day my eyes were starting to be gross (I didn't know they were infected at this point while I was doing my makeup; the eyes started oozing throughout that day after application), I used a BRAND NEW tube of the Covergirl Super Thick Lash mascara, my favorite drugstore one, full review here. I used it once, and now I have to throw it away because damn pink eye!!!!!!! I hate myself for opening this instead of bearing with the YSL for another day. I know it's a four dollar mascara, but good makeup is good makeup, and it pains me to throw away six months of good mascara just after one use. *Cries river.* I will be repurchasing this right when I get back to the US.

The lesson we can all learn from this situation is to not buy expensive or hard to find eye makeup (and lip makeup), because if one day you develop gross diseases, you won't have to throw it all away.
The other thing I'm taking away from this is to always use primers in squeeze tubes (won't have to throw it away if it doesn't touch the eye), and to always use powder + transformer for eyeliner (you can just clean the brush and scrape out the part of the shadow you used for liner without throwing anything away).

Minor problem rant over.

Since I ran out of lotion and hand cream, I went to my favorite pharmacy real quick and repurchased the Caudalie hand cream (best one ever) and tried out the new Roger and Gallet Fig Flower Body Lotion. The lotion smells divine, and it really lingers. It's kind of more perfume than skin product (this will interfere with your fragrance), but I really like it. It is hydrating and non-greasy. I'm glad I tried it, although it's kind of luxe for a body lotion.

But anyway, that's it. Thanks for staying with me!

Have you ever had to throw out your favorite makeup because you were ill?

(Wow that was a weird end-post question).
