Review: Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean 3 in 1 cleanser

I was really excited to pick up Soap and Glory's Peaches and Clean from Boots when I went to London a while ago. I'm always on the look out for the next best cleanser, especially at a budget.
I've heard some pretty great reviews of this product, and I know it's one of Miss Budget Beauty's holy grail products.

First off, I like the pump packaging. Pumps always tend to make me happy. However, the cream kind of got stuck to the top of my bottle in a weird way, so I know I'll be opening up the bottle to scrape that part out with my finger after I've worked my way through the bottle, which isn't hygienic. Aside from that, one pump dispenses the perfect amount of product to cover your face and neck.

The consistency is like a thick cream. It won't run out of the palm of your hand or anything, but it's not thick and balmy. Think body lotion for your face. The cream spreads easily and thinly across the face, almost feeling watery once fully applied.

And the scent. Oh gawd the scent. I want this all over me all the time. Can I have a body wash/lotion/perfume/everything in this scent please? I seriously can't get enough of the peachy mint-ness. It's not an artificial smell either. However, if you don't like fragrances in your skincare, this won't be for you. It's strong.

That brings me to my next point. The mint/eucalyptus. While it is refreshing and makes your face feel cool and fresh, mint tends to cause irritation in the dermis which leads to breakdown of collagen, and if this cleanser gets in your eyes, it stings so much. It's just overall irritating to the eyes, so you definitely would need something else to remove your eye makeup. (Yeah, it says don't get in eyes, but what's the point of a makeup removing cleanser if you can't use it for your eye makeup?)

Ingredients:

Speaking of makeup in general, this doesn't remove it. It does a good job of spreading it all over my face, but even after my second cleanse with it (so two pumps total with a hot cloth as well) my makeup isn't gone, and my toner still removes more makeup after. That's not a toner's job; that's a cleanser's job.

And that's where I don't get the three in one claim. It's not very exfoliating. I notice more difference with an actual mask, it doesn't remove makeup, and it doesn't properly cleanse. Aside from smelling good, I don't think this does much. I've gone through half the bottle in two weeks just because I have to use so much product before my skin is actually slightly clean (I never mean stripped when I say clean, I mean when makeup doesn't show up on the cotton pad I use for my toner).

Also, my skin is left feeling a bit dry after this.

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed in this cleanser. I think there are cheaper cleansers that do a better job than this, and since you have to use so much product before getting the skin even cleanish, it doesn't really end up being much cheaper than a high end cleanser that lasts longer between repurchases.

There are better things out there, for instance Soap and Glory's Fab Pore hot cloth cleanser. That stuff is damn decadent, I tell you.
