Before we dive into this post, can we just take a moment to appreciate how multilingual these products are?
I mean, we've got French, English, Spanish, and another mysterious language (guys, I have no clue what language that Garnier product is).
That is some diversity.
Dayum.
Anyway, the goal of this post is to tell you about some stuff I might not normally feature on this blog, simply because I just kind of keep them in random places and never get them together for a family photo or because they're just not products I think about because they don't go on my face. Well, it's time now.
The family is here.
So precious.
First up, we have some eye drops. Basic? Yes. Necessary? Absolutely. I wear contacts, and my eyes get insanely dry. I keep these eye drops in my purse just in case I fall asleep somewhere and wake up with eyeballs that feel like they're permanently stuck to my eyelids. (If you wear contacts, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about). I have these Pure Moist ones from Opti-Free by Alcon.
Next up is the L'Oréal Elvive Extraordinary Oil. I have talked about this stuff before because it's dabomb.com. It adds some hydration and shine to my frizzy mess that I call hair, and it smells damn good.
I've also been using this Garnier Gel/Cream Lotion stuff lately. It smells honey-ish, feels nice and light and absorbs easily, and still is really hydrating. Think my Vaseline Aloe-Fresh lotion, just with a different scent.
Another absolute essential is the Dove Blue Fig and Orange Blossom deodorant. I've tried so many other deodorants, and I have to go back to the Dove ones. They're the only ones that work for me sweat/BO-wise, they hydrate my pits, and they smell incredible. Holy grail deodorant. Weird, but true, so whatever.
A newish addition to this party is the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover. It doesn't work in 1 second as it claims, but it works fast. You stick your finger in the soaked sponge's hole, twist, and you're done. It's also acetone free and smells like fake cherry (nom). The only problem I would have with it it that the sponge sheds pieces from time to time, as you've used it more and more the previous nail colors used and removed will stain your fingers a bit, and the oil it leaves on your fingers after feels icky. Nothing a hand washing can't fix though. This has changed my nail painting game.
I also always have some sort of hand cream on hand. The current one I'm using is the Soap and Glory Hand Food which I really really like. I don't like it better than the Caudalie because I think the Caudalie is more hydrating (still without greasy-ness) and smells better. However, this smells really good, too, and you can actually pick things up after using it, unlike some hand creams.
I put my current perfume oil in here. It's peach. I like it.
Hand sanitizer is kind of necessary if you live in Paris and take the public transportation (some people are nasty in the metro), so I keep this one from Monoprix on hand. It smells like green apples and just yum.
Last but not definitely not least are breath drops. A couple drops of this (Sweet Breath Gouttes de Menthe) take my nasty I-just-slept-over-at-my-best-friend's-apartment-and-didn't-brush-my-teeth breath and make it non-dragon like. TMI? Don't care. This stuff rocks.
You can find most of these things at any pharmacy or Monoprix.
What are your "other" products?
