If you've read this blog for at least a year, you'll know how much I love the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo. I didn't think they could improve upon it, but they did. They added a dark spot treatment. So obviously I had to try the new version.
I think it really works. Instead of using it all over my face like I used to, I just use this as a spot treatment after my moisturizer if I even get blemishes (I've only had a couple blemishes in this past couple months; I don't know if my skin's changing or my routine is just extra spot on). It gets rid of blemishes within several days, and after they're gone I don't notice any dark marks. I do have to say though, I do find this drying, although it claims to hydrate (although, again, I think my skin isn't as oily as it had been a year ago). That's why I've just been using it in problem areas and not all over.

My best friend also uses this regularly all over, and his skin is basically perfect now (he did have some under the skin blemishes, pigmentation, and scarring (from picking, the naughty kid)). It's more even in texture, and he doesn't have any blemishes or dark marks. So yeah, I've noticed it's been working really well for him. However, be warned dry skinned friends: he has to use a fairly heavy moisturizer after as well.
Yes, friends, I do think the new formulation is a winner.
Have you tried the new version of Effaclar Duo?
