Review: Eve Lom Cleanser*

Before I start this review, I think I need to get one thing out of the way. The Eve Lom Cleanser is a pretty controversial product, mainly because it contains mineral oil.
I hate mineral oil. I think it's a cheap, horrible ingredient because it doesn't do anything and blocks the good ingredients from doing their job. Companies just use it as a filler basically.

But I think we should put mineral oil aside for a second and talk about this product as a whole. This product is absolutely amazing.

I keep the little stopper on the top to keep the product from getting messy when I travel.

Now, I haven't tried too many cleansing balms, so I can't compare this to much. However, out of all of the cleansers I have ever used, this has made it up there with my favorites. That, I think, is saying a lot.

You just take a nickel size amount, heat in up in your hands, then massage it onto the skin, including the eyes. When I do this, I make sure I give my face a good massage for about a minute to get all the lymph draining.

I use a second cleanser after this (this is my makeup-removing cleanse), and toner and moisturizer anyway. I have oily skin.

You then take a hot muslin cloth (that it comes with) and massage it all off. It removes absolutely everything and just sucks everything out of the pores. It's fantastic. It has a relaxing herbal smell (if you don't like medicinal smelling things, you won't like how this smells) and just the silkiest, luxurious feel.

It just left my skin feeling so clean, soft, hydrated, purified, and toned after I used it for the first time. Usually cleansers don't make that much of a difference right away, if at all.

As far as money goes, this stuff is not cheap, especially considering the fact that it does have mineral oil in it. If this is going to be the most expensive cleanser you would ever use ever, don't buy it. However, if you're used to spending money on your skin care, I really think you should try this. The jar lasts a long time, and it's just really damn good stuff.
