1. L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes
I heard so many good things about this mascara from youtube, but when I tried it, I just thought it clumped my lashes together so much that it made it look like I had five of them. The brush doesn't have enough spikes, I guess. It smudged like crazy on me, too, and it's really stiff when it dries.
2. Rimmel Lash Accelerator
This is the WORST mascara of all time, I think. I wanted to like it because the packaging is so gorgeous, but in the end, it's just gimmicky crap. The wand is super thin and flimsy, making this very hard to work with, and the brush doesn't reach all your big lashes because there are these huge gaps in between bristles (it'll leave some completely uncovered). The only good thing is that it has a small brush to reach the little lashes. This mascara is pretty lengthening, but it gives ZERO volume. You really have to work hard to make this stuff look good. I mean HARD. It clumps like mad and just generally looks horrible. I could care less about the whole lash growth serum, and I didn't use this long enough to find out if it works. DO NOT BUY THIS.
3. Maybelline Lots of Lashes
Same deal as with the L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes. It does nothing to separate lashes or volumize. The brush is weird to work with, too because of the heart shape. Smudges. And I was so happy to finally try out one of the Great Lash mascaras. :( (Let's be real: the packaging is adorable).
4. Covergirl Eyelights
This is weird for me, because I tried this before and loved it. I thought it completely lit up my eyes and looked super natural, so when I repurchased it, I was surprised I wasn't as in love with it as I was before. It looks very natural indeed, but that's it: it barely shows up on your lashes. The eye brightening effect didn't work either. I sadly returned this.
5. Maybelline One by One
This stuff isn't too bad, but yeah, it's pretty bad. This has the same effect as the L'oreal. It makes your lashes super thinned out and weird looking. The brush was awkward to use as well. I wasn't sad when I had to throw this out.
In the end, what may or may not work for me might work or not work for you, so if you want to try any product in general, go for it. You can always save the receipt and return it! These are just my experiences.
