Argan Oil

Everyone seems to be obsessed with Argan Oil lately... Including me! You can find it anywhere now and in everything. It's in a lot of hair products, skin care, and makeup. It hails from Morocco and comes from a nut off the Argan tree.

It's supposed to be great for moisturizing because of the fatty acids. Some people use it in their hair, some people on the skin (for acne, marks, moisture, etc.). I'm always skeptical of the do-it-all, miracle products, though. How can one plant really fix everything? While I don't think it's necessarily a miracle product, I do think it's really good.

I use a squirt of the Aura Cacia pure argan oil in my towel-dried hair at night. I rub it in my palms, smooth it into the ends and then the top of my head to prevent morning fuzz. I also put a little bit on my lips before night sometimes. Also, when I use a product (like a facial peel) that requires that you don't use any products that contain alcohol after, I use a pump as my facial moisturizer.

I find it does make my hair feel healthier, and when I use it on my skin, it doesn't break me out. (Warning!!! Only use 100% argan oil or argan oil products meant for skin on your face! If you use hair serums like Moroccan Oil on your skin, I guarantee you, you will break out!) However, I only use it on my face at night, because it makes the skin rather greasy.

Definitely give argan oil a shot. It's not going to fix all your beauty problems, but it can help some of them for sure.

Have you tried it yet?
