I bought the Revlon Lash Potion Waterproof Mascara at the same time I bought the horrible Maybelline one that was the subject of my last post.
Again, I usually do plenty of research before buying products, and a lot of people said they liked this mascara, so I was pretty disappointed by this one. At least I had a lot of coupons; I think I snapped it up for three bucks or something. :/
I got the waterproof version just to try it out, shade 221 Blackest Black. My first impression was that the packaging was really pretty. I still think that; in fact, I think all the Revlon mascaras have pretty cool packaging. However, when I looked at the brush, I got a bit freaked out. It's really, really huge. I have never been able to put this mascara on without getting product on my lid. It's also hard to work into the lower lashes.
What I do like about the brush though is that I do feel like it gripped all the lashes to coat them.
However, the results just aren't that great. It makes my lashes somewhat long (not because of any growth serum; that had no affect at all), but I found the mascara to be clumpy, not so volumizing, not so separating, flaky, and not smudge-proof.
It's also a pain in the butt to remove. Many lashes were lost, my friends, many.
---Moment of silence for the good lashes we lost the days I was testing this out.---
The tube doesn't last that long before drying out either.
All in all, I didn't like this mascara. If you're in the market for a new one, give this a pass and maybe go for my favorite Covergirl one.
