I thought you'd might be interested in my current skincare routine after reading my views about skincare in my past few posts.
I start off with my Darphin Aromatic Cleansing Balm with Rosewood. It says to start off with damp skin, but I love using it on dry skin first to get good grip for massage. I then rinse it off. It turns into a milk and takes all gunk with it. I normally would use a cloth with a balm, but with this one I actually don't have to, which is nice. I do this once in the morning, twice at night.
I then use my exfoliating toner (currently Pixi Glow Tonic - I just have it in this travel bottle now). I do this morning and night. Normally I would say this toner is a bit harsh for 2X a day, but since I'm not using a Clarisonic or hot wash cloth with this current routine, the extra exfoliation has been fine.
I then spray on La Roche Posay Serozinc as my hydrating toner (again 2X a day). This helps sooth skin irritations, like blemishes, and it just feels refreshing. I brush my teeth while it dries.
I use my eye cream, Eysilix, morning and night after my toner has dried. This really helps with all basic eye problems, like dryness, lines, and circles.
Morning and night I use the Effaclar Duo + on any spots or in my t-zone if I'm feeling congested.
Then at night I smooth on a bit of Pepta-bright. It really helps soothe, moisturize, and brighten the skin. Also at night, I layer Hydraluron on top of the Pepta-bright and under my moisturizer. This really helps pull water to the skin so I wake up feeling hydrated and not tight.
For night cream, I'm currently using the Una Brennan Firming Neroli. I also take this down my neck. In the morning, instead of a moisturizer, I just go straight into my sunscreen. I would use a light moisturizer under sunscreen normally, but the Neutrogena SPF 60 for Sensitive Skin that I'm using now is a bit greasy.
I also keep some masks on hand to trouble shoot from time to time. When my skin is feeling dull and congested, I use the Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask then follow up with the Una Brennan Tea Flower Clay Mask. The Ren one isn't my favorite (we all know the Tata Harper one is), but it's what I have on hand at the moment.
I also have the Soap and Glory Fab Pore on hand when I can't be bothered to use the two masks above in conjunction with one another.
My newest mask I'm testing is this Bio Beauté by Nuxe Vitamin Rich Detox Mask. It's cool because you smooth on the thick gel, wait only five minutes, massage it until it turns oily, then rinse it off (it becomes a cream with water). I found this does really wake up my skin and help smooth blemishes.
I do have some other spot treatments in my stash, but my skin hasn't broken out at all with this routine, so I haven't had to use them.
I hope that was helpful, and I hope you liked these past skincare-focused posts. Again, what I say is just what works for me, so if you're happy with what you're doing, keep doing it.
