Review: Blinc Mascara

I love tubular mascaras. My favorite mascaras of all time are the Trish McEvoy Volumizing and Curling mascaras. So I was pretty excited when I got this deluxe sample of the Blinc one.

The formula of this is pretty fantastic. Like my favorite tubular mascaras, it doesn't flake or smudge, and it gives you a ton of length and curl. However, the formula of this was extra wet. Tubular mascaras in general are wet mascaras, but this one would take a bit more time to dry than usual. It did make the tube last longer, however, than my normal tubular mascaras.
It's also really easy to remove. Just a little warm water, and it rolls off in little tubes or clumps. That being said, if you cry a bit or go swimming, you will have little tubes of this coming off.
Also, a tip for keeping tubular mascaras from flaking: make sure your eyelashes and eye area aren't oily when you apply.

I did finish up the tube of this I had, and the thing that would keep me from repurchasing this was the brush. The brush has an odd shape, and it just didn't grab onto every lash like my Trish ones do. The result was a little bit clumpier than usual. When I saw clumpy now, I guess I don't mean clumps, but I mean that it didn't separate the lashes at all, and just stuck them together. I usually like to have a ton of separation and volume, and this didn't do it.

I'd say if you're going to try a tubular mascara, this one is worth a try, but my all-time favorites are still the Trish ones.
