Finished: Essie Mint Candy Apple

It's pretty rare, I think, to finish a nail polish, but I finally finished my bottle of Essie Mint Candy Apple. To be fair, I only got down to the last 1/5 of the bottle before it got so gloopy it wasn't even usable, but I'd say that's still finished right?

I'd had this nail polish since July 2011, so it's been going strong for a while. It was just always one of those go-to shades for summer and always a compliment-getter. I love it on the toes especially. Everyone who loves nail polish hypes on about the color, and it really is just kind of a staple in anyone's nail polish drawer.

As far as formula goes, it's really a horrible formula. I don't really like Essie's nail polishes aside from the color. It takes a good three coats to get it to be not streaky and opaque, takes a long time to dry, chips really quickly, stains the nails badly, and the brush is just small and horrible. It doesn't justify the $8+ price tag.

That's the reason I won't be repurchasing, but I'll still be looking for a dupe.
