I'm a bit obsessed with skincare. I guess. So even though I've been trying to use up the products I have on hand and minimize what I'm taking abroad with me, when the opportunity presents itself to try something new, I can't help it. I just can't. Sorry I'm not sorry.
I hauled a bunch of Mario Badescu products (that were super discounted from Hautelook) a while ago, and this Ceramide Eye Gel is the only thing I have yet to try from that splurge. I haven't talked about it in any blog post or video, so I just wanted to tell you that I have it here just in case you want a review later on. I'm still finishing up my Natura Bisse Eye Recovery Balm* which I love, but when that's out, I hope this Mario Badescu one will be a good, cheaper option.
I got this Eve Lom cleanser* to try out for work, and even though it does have cult status, I was hesitant to try it, because it has mineral oil. However, I got over it and tested it out, and now I know why it has cult status. This stuff is amazing. It has a nice, medicinal smell, and it feels so good on the skin. It also just sucks out everything from the pores. Blackheads, everything. I can't afford to buy this regularly though, so that leads me to my next purchase...
I bought the Boots Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm at Target for $8.99 plus tax. I've seen good reviews, so once my Eve Lom runs out, I'll be excited to start this pot. I love the ingredients list (no mineral oil in sight) and the price tag, so hopefully this works out.
The next naughty purchase was from Sephora. I wanted a good sunscreen for France, and this one is definitely a good one. I've tried the regular, non-tinted, Urban Environment, and I loved it. I just thought I'd get some extra coverage out of the tinted one. I tried this one a couple times (then miserably forced myself to finish the Mario Badescu moisturizer I'm using at the moment) and really liked it. It has pretty decent coverage actually, and it's really light and non-greasy. Shiseido just makes good sunscreens.
Weird purchase, but one of the best ones, I picked up my Holy Grail toothpaste when I was in Charleston for Memorial Day. I ran out of my Cinnamon one (right now I'm finishing up the Jasmine one, my favorite so far), so I thought I'd finally try the actual mint flavored toothpaste. I'm really looking forward to it, and definitely to this extra whitening (although, all Marvis toothpastes whiten - this is just extra).
The last and most recent purchase was a well thought-out one. I've been eyeing Egyptian Magic for a while now, so when I saw it at Costco (4 oz + 2oz container pack) for only thirty bucks (this pack would be $62 anywhere else), I couldn't help myself. This stuff is packed with natural goodness (only 6 ingredients: honey, pollen, propolis, royal jelly, olive oil, and beeswax), and it has a ton of uses. I plan on using it as my night cream and in my hair to tame frizz. Also, Kate Hudson uses it. I love Kate Hudson. Damn you, Costco. But really, I love you.
So this is the kind of stuff I spend my money on. Hope you enjoyed!
