All the things were finished. All the things.
1. Trish McEvoy Long-Wear Face and Eye Makeup Remover: Best non-rinse cleanser out there. I use it all the time when I do people's makeup because it removes everything quickly. This is better than wipes or any micellaire water I've used. It doesn't dry out skin (hyaluronic acid for the win!), and there's no residue. Lazy gals will love this in place of wipes. However, I still prefer to remove my own makeup nightly with a cleanser that I rinse off with water.
2. Trish McEvoy Soothing Cleansing Milk: This was discontinued for a reason. Not my favorite.
3. By Terry Douceur de Rose Comforting Cleansing Cream: This was replaced by her new cleansing balm. I have yet to try the new version, but I really did like this. Great second cleanse/morning cleanse cleanser. Really freshens and brightens the skin without stripping. Smells gorgeous, but not of gross artificial rose. This made me way more curious about Terry's skincare, and I've since tried and loved a few things from the range (aside from the obviously incredible makeup).
4. Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion: My favorite exfoliating toner (even over Pixi Glow Tonic). Love the salicylic acid. It's so gentle and not drying at all. Only Clinique toner that I'll use (alcohol-free). Plus it's cheap and lasts a very long time ($13.50). I'll probably repurchase this forever.
5. Origins GinZing Eye Cream: Does nothing. Don't get the hype. Will not repurchase.
6. Darphin Ideal Resource Serum: Definitely helps tighten pores and has great anti-oxidants. I already have a full size now.
7. Origins Plantscription Youth-renewing Face Oil: I was obsessed with this when I first started using it, but since finishing it, I've moved onto things I like better, so I won't repurchase.
8. Mario Badescu Peptide Renewal Serum: Again, really liked this, but I've since tried things I like better, so I won't repurchase.
9. Kat Burki Raw Beauty Power Trio Radiance Oil: This is the reason I won't be repurchasing the Origins one above. This is way better. Smells nicer, makes the skin really glowy and clear. I would repurchase.
10. Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Moisturizer: I really liked this, however, I wish it were in a pump. I've also tried other moisturizers I like better, so for now, I won't repurchase.
11. Origins GinZing Moisturizer: Smells good, moisturizes well without making me oily, but same thing as the Ole Henriksen (although I do like the OH much better than this one).
12. Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins: Very hydrating and smells great, but same as the two above moisturizers, I've found something better...
13. Darphin Ideal Resource Cream: Alas, the reason why all three of the above moisturizers will not be repurchased. This made such a difference to my skin. Although the texture seemed to be slightly heavier, it sunk in and moisturized completely without making me greasy. My pores looked so smoothed over with this, everything just felt even and smooth, and I looked bright. I had so many complements on my skin, it was ridiculous. Darphin is king. I wish this didn't come in a jar, but it's so great, I think I'll have to repurchase eventually and also try the one for night. I highly recommend the whole Darphin Ideal Resource line if you have any problems with texture or are seeing the first signs of aging.
14. LaVanilla The Healthy Deodorant in Pure Vanilla: One of the best natural deodorants I've tried since Lush discontinued Aromarant. This keeps odor at bay, and smells great. The stick packaging gets a plus (I don't know why so many natural deodorants don't come in a stick - it's annoying). I will definitely repurchase once I'm out of my current deodorant.
15. Lush Rub Rub Rub: Love the smell, hate the packaging. It felt so weird scooping my shower gel out of a jar. I consider it more of a gel, because all the salt in there melts before you can even give yourself a good scrub with it. For the most part I enjoyed using it, but I won't repurchase over a shower gel or bar of soap.
16. Eight Ginger Lime Body Moisturizer: I like the scent, how long it lasts, and how it moisturizes (this stuff is great for super dry feet), however, it takes a while to really work into the skin. I prefer Vaseline Aloe Fresh.
17. (Malin+Goetz) Moisturizing Shampoo: I liked this a lot, and it lasted me FOREVER. I bought this in July (keep in mind I alternate shampoos sometimes and don't wash my hair that much) and just finished halfway through April. Yeah. Smells great, but my water it too hard to *TMI alert* not use a specific dandruff shampoo (sad, right?).
18. Detroit Grooming Orchard Lake Grooming Oil: Meant for beards, but I use it for my hair and cuticles. It's the BEST hair oil ever ever ever. It sinks so quickly into hair (and cuticles) and makes it all look so healthy without being greasy. Already repurchased, just in the Corktown scent. Orchard Lake smells like creamsicle, Corktown smells like cherry. I love them both. I'll be shopping in the men's section more often.
19. Revlon Colorstay Gel-Smooth Base Coat: Really like this, but I've started to try some other things, and I haven't been painting my nails a lot anyway, so it'll be a while before repurchasing.
20. Oralabs Naturals Lip Balm: Got this from my dentist. I really liked it, but I won't need any more lip balms for a while, and I can live without this particular one.
21. Trish McEvoy Even Skin Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 15 Bare: Best powder foundation ever. Decent coverage, skin-like finish, doesn't settle into lines. I'm using up some other powders now, but I will for sure be repurchasing. Love.
22. Covergirl Professional Remarkable Mascara: I bought this because I had a dream it would be better than the Thickening one I usually like from Covergirl. (Of course I'd dream about makeup). The two are pretty similar, but I think this gave just a tad more length. Already repurchased this, but I bought CG Clump Crusher Extensions at the same time, and I think I like that even more...
23. P. F. Candle Co. Sweet Grapefruit Candle: I usually don't mention candles, but I thought this deserved a special mention. This is one of the best candles I've ever used. Not full of awful ingredients, burns nicely, burns for a long time, and fills the whole room. Well done Pommes Frites, well done. I'll be repurchasing these candles for sure.
24. Voluspa Santiago Huckleberry: Gorgeous jar, gorgeous smell. I prefer the above candle, but this was alright, too. I bought this because it smells just like the Trish McEvoy Wild Blueberry and Vanilla candle. While it's so much cheaper and smells the same, there's a huge difference in quality: the Trish is so much more fragrant and smells deeper (hence the $55 price tag). I think I'll have to suck it up and just buy the Trish McEvoy next time, because although this was cheap, it wasn't as wow-ing.
That was long! What are your thoughts? Last product you used up that you love/hated?
