Nail Love: Butter London Knackered

I am completely obsessed with nail polish, especially super glittery or "color-changing" duo-chrome ones. I saw Fleur de Force mention Knackered by Butter London in a monthly favorites video a while back, and I knew I had to have it.

One thing that's awesome about the Butter London nail polishes is the packaging. Not only is it sleek and rectangular, but the cap is sealed so you know no one opened it up to test it. There's another cap underneath the big black cap, which is also really nice and makes the product seem extra high-quality to me. (It's the same idea as the Chanel polishes).

The color itself is absolutely gorgeous. It's a pale lavender in some lights, an amazing green color in other lights, and sometimes both! It has holographic glitter in it, but in natural light, that glitter just looks silver. This is definitely the prettiest nail polish I own. Sadly, iPhone pictures don't do it justice.

The formulation of the product is awesome, too. The polish goes on smoothly and dries fairly quickly. My  only complaint, though, is that this particular color takes about four coats to reach opacity. But once it's on and dry, it stays on. This is seriously the longest lasting nail polish I've ever used. I had it on for five days (wearing at tips only and no chips) before I just wanted to switch up polishes.

Because the polish is fairly sheer, I think next time I wear it, I'll use solid color and then layer this on top. I think that'll speed up drying time as well.
I was so glad I got the chance to go to Ulta to get a bottle. Unfortunately, it did cost me $14. So worth it though!
